Led Rides

Build your confidence and have fun cycling with others

Bike Maintenance

Educating the community on how to repair and maintain bicycles

Cycle Culture

Developing a growing community

Preston Pedals is a non-profit, co-operatively run organisation that is increasing the number of people who cycle in Preston

Aims

To actively break down barriers to cycling and promote the benefits of cycling,
especially of cycling those short everyday journeys, to as many people as we can.

Ethos

We believe that more people cycling is better for our health and wellbeing as well as our environment.

What we do

We bring people together to improve access to cycling. Our friendly and welcoming bike mechanics and ride leaders refurbish bicycles; fix and show people how to repair their bicycles and organise social led rides.

Why Cycle?

More people cycling confidently improves individual health and wellbeing and addresses financial challenges facing many people. Cycling also improves our community, helps reduce emissions from vehicles and enhance our environment, creating more pleasant places for us all to live.

Listen to what they say about us.

The experience I gained at the bike repair workshop was invaluable, I learnt so much. If you know nothing about maintenance I highly recommend attend a session with Preston Pedals.

I can’t believe how much I have achieved cycling with Preston Pedals! Getting confidence to cycle distances, being outdoors, enjoying the fresh air, socialising with other cyclists. Give it a go!

Cycling Enthusiast

My bike was stolen and cycling is the only exercise I can currently manage due to a health condition. I’m so grateful to Preston Pedals for finding me a bike, even fit a rack for my dog basket!

My partner’s bike was stolen and it’s his main means of transport which is a nightmare. Thanks so much Preston Pedals for finding him a bike!
